Ufundi Rahisi Program

The Ufundi Rahisi ("Simple Crafts") program provides inclusive vocational training for youth and children with special needs, blending traditional Maasai beadwork with economic empowerment.

This creative initiative serves as a therapeutic space where working with vibrant beads enhances fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and cognitive focus for individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities. By mastering these time-honoured cultural techniques, students learn practical, income-generating entrepreneurship skills. Ufundi Rahisi fosters deep personal pride, celebrates cultural identity, and directly challenges societal stigmas surrounding disability — proving that with the right tools, every child can achieve self-reliance.

Cultural Identity

Students master centuries-old Maasai craft traditions and carry this knowledge forward.
